The Seeing Eye Tour Program
Thank you for your interest in learning about The Seeing Eye, the oldest guide dog school in the world. Our tour program is being temporarily suspended so that we can make improvements to our campus.
We are, however, pleased to offer the following options for groups and individuals who would like to learn more about The Seeing Eye:
Groups
Through the Pennies for Puppies® and Dollars for Dogs® community service programs, we are often able to send presenters to educate your group about The Seeing Eye, including the breeding, raising and formal training programs for Seeing Eye dogs as well as the student training program for our students who are blind or visually impaired. We ask that you conduct one or more fundraising activities to support The Seeing Eye. By conducting these activities, your group will get to sponsor a Seeing Eye puppy. There is no minimum amount that must be raised, but groups that raise $5,000 or more get to name a puppy and follow its progress all the way through the training program, including the matching process when a student who is blind or visually impaired is teamed with the dog. Individuals & Families
We are pleased to offer presentations at The Seeing Eye Jane H. Booker Student Center, located at 14 Maple Avenue in Morristown, NJ. During the presentation, you will learn how the organization was started and how for more than 80 years we have enhanced the mobility and independence of thousands of individuals with vision loss. You will also learn how these amazing partnerships are formed – from the breeding of the puppies to the training of the dogs, and from the selection of our students to the lifetime of follow-up care provided to each team. Our guests will also learn the appropriate way to approach a guide dog team and how to responsibly manage their pet dogs around a working dog.
Reservations are required and space is limited, so reserve your seats today! Seats will be reserved for individuals and families only; groups are encouraged to take advantage of our community service program.
