Hugh's Day: Time for School!

By Craig Garretson, Communications Officer

Last month we got the word we’d been waiting for… sort of!

It’s time for Hugh to go back to The Seeing Eye to begin training as a Seeing Eye dog. If he makes it, he could be matched with someone as soon as this spring!

Naturally we have mixed emotions. We’ve had Hugh for a little more than a year and a half, and he’s really become part of the family. But we also know he has the chance to make a difference in someone’s life. We are trying to think of it as if he’s going off to college — we’d love for him to stay home with us forever, but he has his own journey to begin.

We are proud to have played our part in helping prepare him for his destiny, and thank you for supporting us. We will provide updates as to how he’s doing as his adventures continue!
