Our Montclair Premiere: The Seeing Eye & Montclair Film

The Seeing Eye recently worked in collaboration with the Montclair Film Festival to host members of the Montclair community at the 505 Montclair Film venue for a night to remember.

Attendees had the chance to hear from The Seeing Eye’s president and CEO, Peggi Howard, the Honorable Governor Thomas Kean, and longtime Seeing Eye supporter and Montclair local Josh Weston. The trailer for The Seeing Eye’s newest film, From Puppy to Partner, was screened for the audience. The film explores the journey each Seeing Eye dog takes over their lifetime. The trailer gained an echoing round of applause!

Afterward, audience members listened to two brothers closely connected to The Seeing Eye. Pat McKenna, a Seeing Eye graduate, and Brian McKenna, Wohlers Family Foundation Master Instructor and Senior Manager of Instructor Training, shared their personal stories about how Pat deciding to get a guide dog eventually led Brian to become a Seeing Eye instructor. Pat and Brian also answered the audience's questions about the cost of a Seeing Eye dog, the training process, and what each of Pat’s Seeing Eye dogs was like.

The event was an absolute success and a wonderful night for our supporters in the Montclair community!
