'Atta Girl, Kelly!' Disney Re-Issues Movie on DVD

On February 10, Disney released the DVD version of a three-part  series about The Seeing Eye that first aired in 1967.

When it debuted on "Wonderful World of Color" on three consecutive Sundays, "Atta Girl, Kelly!" engrossed the nation with the story of a puppy named Kelly, her puppyraiser, her instructor, and the man for whom she would serve as a guide.

At one time, the production was available on VHS, but in recognition of The Seeing Eye's 80th anniversary, Disney has released it for the first time on DVD.  To get your own copy, you can join the Disney Movie Club by going to www.DisneyMovieClub.com or by calling 1-800-362-4587.

The year "Atta Girl, Kelly!" was filmed, Walt Disney added a message to the annual holiday message sent to Seeing Eye graduates.  You can listen to Disney's greeting here, introduced by Vice President of Training George Debetaz.

We've opened our archives to take you back to 1966, when the Disney crew and actors Beau Bridges and Arthur Hill filmed the series on our Morristown campus. Here are just a few of the related photos and documents.
