Patty Fletcher graduated in April with her first Seeing Eye® dog – a black Labrador retriever named Campbell. After traveling with a cane for 31 years, Fletcher decided a guide dog was right for her and says she couldn’t be more thrilled about how well Campbell is fitting into her lifestyle. She was recently profiled by her local FOX affiliate television station about how she is adapting to life with a Seeing Eye dog. There is a link to the video of the original broadcast at the end of the article. *** Have a Devilishly Fun Time & Support The Seeing Eye! They met Seeing Eye celebrity puppy Vinson and his puppy raiser and Online Media Specialist Ryan Hartigan.) The Lewis family decided to ask guests to their Halloween party to contribute to their favorite charity, The Seeing Eye. Through their guests’ donations, they collected $450! The funds will be matched by both Mr. and Mrs. Lewis’ employers through their matching gift programs. Ten-year-old Matt Lewis and 12-year-old Chris Lewis visited the campus with their mother to present Director of Donor & Public Relations Jean Thomas with the check for $1,350. A special thanks to the Lewis Family for their donation! *** Help Us Pave the Path to Independence (photo caption: Seeing Eye puppy Vinson and Seeing Eye dog Garcia pose on the newly installed pathway just in front of the door to the main building). Maybe you’re looking to memorialize someone in your life… or maybe you’re looking for that perfect gift for the person who has everything. Personalizing an engraved brick on The Seeing Eye’s Path to Independence is a great way to leave a lasting legacy for you or a loved one. Bricks will be installed annually, each summer. The deadline to purchase a brick for Summer 2012 is April 30.
