MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The Seeing Eye is pleased to announce it will host its first open house in more than 10 years on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event will provide a rare glimpse of the Washington Valley Campus, including areas not showcased during the organization’s limited public programs. Visitors are invited to take a self-guided tour of the facility, watch training demonstrations, meet Seeing Eye® dog handlers and puppy raisers, and talk to instructors. Puppy raising information sessions will be held throughout the event for those who are interested in volunteering to raise a Seeing Eye® puppy.

“The presence of Seeing Eye puppies and dogs throughout the state of New Jersey, and particularly Morris County, has been a constant for nearly 95 years,” President & CEO Peggi Howard said. “We invite members of the community to attend our open house and learn more about the powerful mission behind the official state dog of New Jersey.  Don’t miss this opportunity to meet the people, and of course, the puppies behind The Seeing Eye.”

Tickets are $10 for adults and children over 8 years. Tickets for children 8 years and younger are free. Tickets must be purchased in advance and presented at the door. Visit www.seeingeye.org/openhouse for more information.
