School children, members of organizations, and corporate employees have been some of the most generous benefactors by conducting their own community service projects to raise money for The Seeing Eye.
These projects are organized through The Seeing Eye’s Pennies for Puppies® and Dollars for Dogs® programs. The difference between the two programs is simple: for participants for whom pennies are the easiest to give, such as young schoolchildren, Pennies for Puppies may be more appropriate; while Dollars for Dogs might be a better fit for high schools, civic organizations, or corporations.
How your group can participate:
• Establish a time period for the campaign, such as three months, a school year, or for the duration of a larger community service program.
• The Seeing Eye provides posters and educational materials to educate participants about The Seeing Eye. We can even send an outreach representative (with a puppy, of course!) to make a 45-60 minute presentation about the program.
• Pennies (or dollars) are collected at one, secure site.
• When the campaign ends, the donations are converted to a check payable to The Seeing Eye.
In appreciation for each gift, The Seeing Eye will send the school or organization a certificate indicating that the participants have officially sponsored a Seeing Eye puppy.
