How You Can Help

The Seeing Eye is a philanthropy supported by contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, bequests and other planned gifts.  The school receives no government funding.  Gifts may be made to the endowment, which is a long-term investment ensuring the future health of The Seeing Eye, or to the Annual Membership Campaign, which covers yearly program expenses.

Support often is demonstrated in other ways, as well, whether through making a gift in honor of or in memory of a loved one, asking an employer to match a contribution, purchasing Seeing Eye merchandise, or participating in a fundraising program called Pennies for Puppies/Dollars for Dogs.  Just as significant are the gifts made by our hundreds of volunteers, who devote their time, energy, and talents to advance The Seeing Eye mission.

Thanks to the generosity of generations of Seeing Eye supporters, we are able to support our administrative and fundraising expenses through the earnings on our unrestricted financial reserves of $240 million, which are about 10 times our annual expenses of $23 million. Thus, you can be sure that 100 percent of your contribution will be devoted to our programs, directly supporting the breeding and training of Seeing Eye dogs and the instruction of our blind students.
